Job Description

Looking to hire a Research / NPD expert in the Bakery Segment with a technical and scientific understanding of research and product developmentReporting into the Regioanl Bakery Manager, you shall be responsible for:

  • Creating desired solution as per customer brief and developing winning products when compared to competition
  • Working in partnership with customers and cross functional team to deliver products from concept to launch, in the time frames agreed with customers
  • Supporting the R&D (Research & Development) Manager with the day-to-day running of the R&D team and where required assist with organising and running team meetings, project management and training for team members
  • Developing innovative solutions to help grow customer and the clients market within cost parameters, manufacturing capability whilst ensuring all new products are legal within the country of use
  • Creating value added products with a point of difference from our competitors continuing to lead in the market through manufacturing process and ingredient knowledge
  • Providing the customers with the best available products through developing an understanding of the market, manufacturing capabilities, ingredient restrictions etc
  • Maintaining awareness of developments across the organisation and building these into new developments providing USPs for customers
  • Ensuring that our clients Taste and Nutrition is at the heart of all concept development
  • Carrying out competitor & product awareness analysis - including sensory product evaluations, bench marking, and carrying out own retail reviews as required
  • Building relationships with key personnel within allocated accounts via visits, presentations and attending trials on customer premises when required
  • Coordinating launches of new products & running trials at customers manufacturing sites
Candidates with experience of 10 yrs in new product development in bakery apply|Candidates with a graduate degree in Food technology / food science must applyIdeally, you have a food technology / Food Science expert with 10 years of experience in the development of bakery and related applications. You are well versed in product research and new product development.
