Job Description

    Job summaryProgram Manager, Payments Services, BangaloreThe Amazon Payments Services process millions of transactions every day across numerous countries and payment methods. Over 100 million customers and merchants send tens of billions of dollars through our systems annually. We are looking for a Program Manager to help us manage and scale PS org level processes and mechanisms such as Hows My Driving, Canary which have an impact across not just Payments Services but also for entire Consumer Payments customers. The Program Manager will also take on other responsibilities as needed to coordinate with recruiting team and help build a pipeline to recruit SDEs and other tech roles, and ensure the PS rewards for referrers are managed in a prompt manner.You will get an opportunity to influence multiple stakeholders including tech leadership. This role requires someone who is self-driven and high ownership to work with stakeholders, understand their needs and implement them in an optimal and time bound way. This position involves regular communication on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, agile project management and executive presentation skills are essential.The ideal candidate is a creative, demonstrated leader/manager with superior analytical abilities. The candidate is not just a policy maker/spokesperson but drives to get the right things done. At the core of the position is delivery.Qualified candidates have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets as well as analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection and communicating results throughout the organization.The ideal candidate will have 8 or more years of relevant work experience, preferably in a software development environment. An undergraduate degree in software-product management, computer science, or equivalent experience is required. Payments experience is a bonus.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.Key job responsibilities Understand the requirements for a workstream and lead launches Use knowledge of SQL to collect meaningful data, and dive deep using available tools/programs to determine the right root causes and force multiply to address these root causes. You will own multiple charters that foray into customer needs and supporting the speed of business. Work to streamline processes and drive automation of mechanisms. Run cross-functional projects independently and serve as primary point of contact.,
    • 3+ years experience in program or project management
    • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
    • 3+ years experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
    MBA with 5+ years of relevant program management experience in retail or new business launches A provide track record in leading and transforming highly effective organizations Superior analytical and quantitative skills Track record of setting strategy for a cross-functional organization and delivering results Experience in Project Management, Customer facing programs Polished verbal and written communication skills Ability to operate at all levels of the organization, both strategic and tactical A willingness to roll up sleeves to get it done
