What Youll DoThe team you ll be joining is the Cisco NGFW Firestarter Product Management Team, which is part of Cisco s Security Business Group. In Firestarter, we work on enabling short-term revenue by working with sales to remove obstacles in deals.We re driven, on point, tenacious, and steadfast. Your first concern is winning deals and bringing in revenue. You are technical in nature (background in sales engineering or support is no drawback),and known as a problem solver and solution finder.You not only listen well, you cut through and understand the problems. In your current role, you helped save many a deal throughcreative thinking, transparent communication, relentless hustle, and detailed mentorship to engineering and sales alike. You don t believe in unsolvable problems, and where others say it can t be done you say let me figure out what we can do . What makes you a true product management super hero in this role is your keen sense for making business happen. You couple technical hacking with commercial hacking, determining discounts, purchase plans, interim solutions; always looking at your top line and your bottom line.This role is fantastic for a seasoned negotiator, tenacious product manager looking to put business and revenue impact on his or her resume. You will live where the rubber meets the road: between the sales and engineering, with direct access to customers. You will communicate in feature business cases, keep a well-ordered stack ranked backlog, and build a track record of delivering super-targeted well-defined features that directly impact deals.If this sounds like you come join us!Who You Are

  • 5+ years in the network security industry Shown success in negotiating in a widely decentralized and multicultural environment
  • Demonstrated customer-centric requirement gathering, passionate about deal enablement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including data presentation, ability to present results across the organization
  • Experience working with a backlog and roadmap a plus
  • Experience in data driven decision making
  • Experience with business analytics and analysis supported decision making
  • Experience in working in an agile organization, and interacting with cross-functional teams
  • Computer Science Bachelor (MBA preferred)
  • Self-motivated, with a strong bias for action
