Job Description

Principal Software Engineer, D&T is responsible for Sitecore development and ASP.NET Web based development.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and evaluate end user requirements and features to architect and engineer well designed digital solutions that will grow and scale effectively and efficiently.
• Manage Scrum based design, develop and implementations new applications, enhancements, and new features to our web-based customer facing solution.
• Influence and thought leadership in DevOps functions and Software Engineering best practice strategies.
• Subject matter Expert and lead responsive and user experience-based solutions and architecture efforts
• Scrum and Agile based team leadership in rapid prototyping and iterative development.
• Lead and influence well-designed, testable, reusable code with for self and fellow development team members.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education or Equivalent Experience: Bachelors in Computer Science or Equivalent
• Experience: 10+ years of experience
• Familiarity with enterprise CMS (i.e. Sitecore).
  • Proven desire to learn OR skills/experience in any of the following technologies preferred:
  • Cloud (Azure, AWS, Force.com)
  • Mobile development
  • Data Analytics, Big Data (Hadoop, MapReduce, Apache, predictive analytics)
  • MarTech (Sitecore, force.com, eCommerce, inventory, fulfillment)

• Technology: HTML5, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, WCF, WebAPI, RESTful Services, OAuth, SQL Server, Stored Procedures, TFS, Azure, Visual Studio, Entity Framework, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ajax, SVG, XAML, CSS 3.0, Razor, Dependency Injection, UI frameworks/libraries Understanding of REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, jQuery, jQuery, Backbone JS, Twitter Bootstrap, pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Azure or similar cloud implementation and admin experience
• Understanding and practical usage of SOLID principles and Unit Testing (NUnit, XUnit, MSTest)
• Understanding of full stack applications and ability to address the front-end and back-end
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases
• Excellent knowledge of NOSQL databases (COSMOS, MongoDB)
• Experience developing interactive web applications using at least one popular web framework
• Experience using system monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic) and automated testing frameworks
• Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX.
• Experiences working in an agile development environment
• Strong experience gathering requirements, analyzing and designing solutions and completing the development and deployment.
• Ability to provide architectural and big picture guidance for the design and development of new or enhanced solutions.
• Experience with image authoring tools.
• Working knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and relative solutions.
• Understanding of SEO principles, analytics and web standards.
• Working knowledge and applied experience of ADA compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented software design.
• Strong understanding of design patterns.
• Proven ability to work in a rapid release production environment.
• Experience with developing scalable software systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CAD exposure, React, WebGL, SPA, .NET Core 2, Identity, WPF
• Sitecore certified a plus
• Experience developing web applications with Sitecore 8.x or 9.0 a plus
• Ability to complete all phases of SDLC including analysis, design, development, testing and support utilizing Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret complex business requirements and encapsulate business logic/rules into reusable libraries.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
