Principal Full Stack DeveloperPosting Location : Location US-NC-RemotePosting date 14 hours ago(12/6/2021 5:28 AM)Job ID 92409 Workday ID R-019259 About the job The Red Hat Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is looking for a Principal Full Stack Developer to join us. In this role, you will serve as technical expert to a product team where you will support and design, develop, and test solutions for relevant business needs in an open and collaborative environment and establish development standards to be used by others. Youll focus on application development as well as complex problem solving within the EDA team. As a Principal Full Stack Developer, you should be well-versed in modern frontend technologies, microservices architecture and agile software development best practices. You will work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing services and API development concepts for a large modern data estate. You should have experience supporting critical production applications. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor software or AI/ML products and services in collaboration with designers, product managers, and other engineers
• Work closely with the data scientists to deeply understand AI/ML models
• Consume, design, and maintain backend APIs and microservices
• Fully engage in agile development practices
• Participate in pair programming and peer-reviewing code with product team members
• Provide technical subject matter expertise on software design, architecture, patterns, and practices across EDA teams
• Work with data engineers to support data movement into defined solutions

What you will bring

• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in full stack development, including experience in frontend technologies, e.g., JavaScript, React or Patternfly, HTML5, CSS, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with backend API and microservices creation (Python)
• Expertise with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, etc.)
• Experience with database technologies SQL and NoSQL (Redis, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of container services like Red Hat OpenShift
• Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
• Good coding skills according to published standards and design guidelines, including version control (Git) and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD); Gitlab or Tekton experience is a plus
• Expertise with full software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies: scrum, DevOps, design thinking, interactive development
• Experience developing serverless computing solutions
