Job Description

Job Title Principal - Database AdministratorThe Purpose of This Role

  • The candidate has to work on various cloud technologies to onboard and support databases in AWS/Azure
The Value You Deliver
  • Must have worked on various Cloud Options (AWS/Azure - both flavors - fully managed/IAAS )
  • Expertise in Database Design, HA, Migration, DR Experience in configuring Monitoring tools like Data Dog, OEM
  • Strong hands on experience in creating and managing Oracle and SQL databases ( DBA Experience )
  • Experience in transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • In-depth understanding of application deployment and cloud database management systems usage patterns
  • Experienced in CI/CD , DevOps using tools like Udeploy, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, Maven , CHEF, Ansible, Puppet
  • In depth knowledge of DR deployment patterns and their cost optimization with an eye towards RPO and RTO
  • Knowledge of 12-factor cloud principles, API/ARB documents, processes, and deployment patterns/strategies
The Skills that are Key to this role

  • Possess strong Scripting skills to develop automation using Shell, Python, PowerShell

  • Experience in transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
