Job Description

The Opportunity Consultants team is responsible to directly support Aruba pursuit teams in the financial strategy, financial evaluation, risk assessment, pricing, and negotiation required to win large profitable engagements, including GreenLake (Everything As a Service) opportunities. Opportunity Consultants are expected to maintain independence in all financial matters related to the engagements and ensure that management approvers have a full and open view of the relevant facts and assumptions underlying the engagement s financial plan.Responsibilities:

  • Review deal structure & pricing for GreenLake for Aruba opportunities
  • Evaluate opportunity assumptions against ASC 606, and analyze cost structures to recommend pricing strategies
  • Create Aruba P&L for GreenLake deal approvals and provide required documentation to the Solution Opportunity Approval Review (SOAR) process
  • Partner with Sales & Pursuit teams in deal shaping and complex price modelling for customers
  • Establish effective working relationships as a financial advisor to the GreenLake for Aruba Presales/Sales/Account teams
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Tax, and Rev Rec to address risks in solutions, propose mitigation, and complete required checklists (RRC, ELCAF)
  • Support quote to order process streamlining
  • Review Partner rebate programs and revisions
Education and Experience Required:
  • University degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CA, CPA, MBA) strongly preferred
  • Typically 8+ years of experience in financial analysis/pricing modelling
  • Typically experienced in a variety of finance functions
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Excellent understanding of US GAAP, revenue recognition, and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area
  • Excellent analytical skills
