Job Description

Job Purpose: The successful candidate will lead the entire city/cluster wide WH and stores operations and related activities to ensure compliance, cost savviness while modernizing and transforming the supply chain. We need the candidate to exhibit operational excellence, execution and its control. He is also expected to provide recommendations to senior management on the same. Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Managing operations of large WH having a significant employee workforce and handling inward/storage/dispatch operations
  2. Cross Functional Interaction
  3. Inventory planning, vehicle route planning, vehicle scheduling, throughput planning, storage planning, sales event planning.
  4. Candidate should take informed data-driven decisions
  5. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
  6. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  7. Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
  8. Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  9. Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
  10. Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  11. Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
  12. Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
  13. Produce stock reports - IN/OUT status report, slow moving, dead stock report etc
  14. Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
Key Results Area: Drive standardization in operations across the group Smooth functioning of supply chain with Zero stock out at WH or Stores location Logistics cost optimization and move forward towards an efficient network Compliance and governance reinforcement across all operations Reduction/Optimization in Cost to Serve for all associated heads Internal and external benchmarking hence deliver Best in Class WH and stores solutionRequired Candidate profileDesired Skills and Competency.
  1. Prior experience in managing supply chain or at least handling WH operations
  2. Excellent in managing daily operations with great operational discipline
  3. Great in managing a large team of people while keeping them motivated
  4. Problem solving attitude and ready for any business challenge all throughout
  5. Street smart and ready to support the business with agility and responsiveness
  6. Sets standards for industry performance.
  7. Take strategic decisions based on insight from short- and long-term implications to the organization
  8. Tolerate high levels of complexity and ambiguity in analysis and decision making
  9. Maintains constant focus on current performance and future goals regardless of circumstances
  10. Develops new product/service propositions to lead the industry
  11. Actively sponsors the people development strategy to drive the desired behaviours
  12. By words and actions can create, manage and inspire change across the organisation
  13. Builds an environment where innovation and change is expected behaviour and a high priority
