Job Description

  • Possesses and demonstrates strategic knowledge in a specialized field and broad knowledge of several related disciplines within a function
  • Provides leadership to supervisors and/or direct employees or manages a functional area

  • Ability to identify solutions to unforeseen problems with the ability to modify and adjust to the environment and situation
  • Lead a functional team of Engineers
  • Oversee the execution of all engineering project types (NTI, NPD, Sustaining, VAVE, line extension, etc.) for the defined category. Maintain Alignment of Projects with business units goals and overall strategic plan. Establish and Maintain appropriate performance Metrics.
  • Provide technical direction and leadership to the product development team.
  • Maintain awareness of all Engineering policies, guidelines and procedures, and comply with them to ensure products meet performance, cost and reliability goals. Develop Best In Class Engineering policies and procedures and participate in the development. Role Model in Allegion PDP.
  • Ensuring that Engineering budget and resources are adequate to support committed projects. Utilize Effectively EPM for Planning and Monitoring
  • Create environment that builds Employee Engagement and fosters Employee Growth and Development
  • Set individual and team goals in Alignment with Organizational goal and monitor progress through regular performance feedback sessions with their Organizations
  • Define and develop product test related plans, processes and capabilities that verify product quality and functionality in robust and efficient manner
  • Effectively integrate new concepts that can aid in the test and validation of both equipment hardware and software as related to production test capabilities
