Job Description

The Purpose of This RoleAs a Data Analyst in Fidelity s Enterprise Risk Management organization, you will be working closely with members of Fidelity s Corporate Audit, business, risk, and IT functions to identify opportunities where data can provide insight into risk. You will participate in all phases of a data analytics project lifecycle from framing the business question/hypothesis, identifying the appropriate data sources, sourcing the relevant data, performing complex analytics, and reporting on the results. You will use data to answer ad-hoc questions and also develop data-centric solutions that will be deployed to users throughout the firm.The Value You Deliver

  • Develop new solutions and tools that risk professionals will use to proactively identify risk across the firm.
  • Leverage big data and visualization technologies to uncover insights.
  • Participate on audits, investigations, or other special projects that benefit from your subject matter expertise.
  • Work across the Enterprise Risk Management group to identify opportunities where data analytics, automation, or machine learning can reduce manual testing or processes.
The Skills that are Key to this roleTechnical / Behavioral
  • You have working experience with any Relational databases with proficiency in PL/SQL or big data environments leveraging languages/technologies such as R, Python, Hadoop, or SAS
  • You have experience in scripting (Unix or DOS)
  • You have experience developing interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView
  • You have experience using ETL tools such as Alteryx and Informatica
  • You have experience working with supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
  • You have significant analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make independent assessments
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • You have strong attention to detail, collaborative and ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
The Skills that are Good to Have for this role
  • You are well acquainted with Mainframes and are adept in COBOL/JCL and DB2.
  • You have experience working with an Audit, Risk, or Security function
