Job Description

Job DescriptionThis role is responsible to understand the changing requirements of passenger cars by collecting cross-domain inputs from multiple internal and external stakeholders, synthesize these inputs to create new and innovative use cases, and translate them into a vehicle architecture that is technically feasible, cost effective, sustainable and streamlined to the changing market requirements. Focus on Commercial Vehicles ( CV & Tractors )Strategy and Planning

1. Formulate technical strategy for passenger car architecture by critically analysing the market trends, and other inputs obtained from internal and external stakeholders and translating them into use cases.
2. Develop technologically feasible, sustainable and cost-effective vehicle architecture solutions targeted towards OEMs in the region
3. Collaborate with multiple business divisions and units, central divisions, project houses inside Bosch and external partners (including start-ups) to drive conversations around cross-domain subject matters
4. Obtain alignment from internal teams to forecast technology trends based on inputs from continuous environment monitoring
5. Analyse forecasted trends in the internal and external environment to assess the impact on BBM businesses in the region
6. Undertake continuous monitoring of external business environment to keep track of competitor activity in the region (e.g., Tier 0.5, 1, SOC, SW suppliers etc.); identify potential trends
7. Lead key innovation projects on vehicle levels to develop prototypes with support from respective teams across business unit.
8. Engage in thought leadership activities on industry-relevant subject matters and areas of personal expertise across customer and other public forums within the region.

Business Partnering and Support

1. Collaborate with other regional M/NE s (M/NER-IN, M/NER-JP, etc.) to disseminate critical information and attain congruence on trends and strategy outlook in areas such as
   • E/E architecture patterns across regions
   • SPACE trends (SW, Personalization, Automated Driving, Connectivity and Electrification)
   • SW&OS (on-board & off-board)
   • Digitalization (data and services)
   • BBM product roadmap to address E/E patterns across the regions
   • Eye on HW innovation strategies like EDE (Enhanced Data Engine)
2. Actively participate in the pre-selling and acquisition processes and assist customer teams by providing continuous knowledge

Business Operations

1. Lead the E/E Functional architecture design effort for defining and updating the inter-operational interface by using PREEVision and write system-level requirement on requirement management tool
2. Define interoperable interfaces across subsystems and translate them into system-level requirements for building connected vehicle systems architecture
3. Lead the impact analysis of distributed features for E/E network architecture and functional architecture designs according to change request; maintain and update the existing E/E network architecture design
4. Periodically track and review architecture level tests to ensure reliable functioning of systems when integrated; Lead the root cause analysis to identify defects with Validation Team
5. Establish needed capability for delivering quality E/E system and enabling user delight

• Stakeholder Management

1. Lead client discussions on all subject matters involving vehicle-level strategy (for example E/E Architecture, Car OS, etc.) and on subject matters that require cross-domain understanding and inputs
2. Collaborate with cross-functional team to lead feasibility assessment of connected vehicle features
3. Work with regional OEMs on technical subject matters, i.e., E/E patterns and also to understand the aspirations of OEMs on areas such as digitization, electrification, etc.
4. Manage multiple teams designated on key technical processes such as E/E network architecture, E/E functional architecture design, etc
