We use the new constructs that virtualization technology has created to provide unique solutions that were never possible earlier.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Software Engineer with a passion to work in a complex computing environment to join our Network Security, the development team. You will work as part of a team that develops the IP Routing and Networking support for virtualized and cloud environments. You will have an exceptional opportunity to learn about Software-Defined Networks (SDN) and IP requirements within the Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) space.Responsibilities:

• Design and develop IP networking and forwarding features in various components.
• Work with members or other teams to facilitate strong integration with other modules and to provide an excellent user experience.
• Emphasize unit tests, execution, automation, coverage improvement and providing debug support
• Support customers by explaining product capabilities and through escalations.
• Analyze risks with existing initiatives and come up with mitigation plans and address them in the products.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Continuously review the product and code for optimizations and performance improvements.
• Document architectures, procedures, and processes in use and contributing to the improvement of the process.

Requirements:

• Good programming and debugging skills in Python and C
• Deep understanding of IP networking and datapath forwarding
• Strong background in Software Engineering techniques is desirable.
• Understanding of virtualization concepts is desirable.
• Understanding of cloud deployments is desirable.
• Prior hands-on experience with VMware s vSphere Product line, especially in the areas of networking, is desirable.
• Excellent social and communications skills and desire to contribute in a collaborative environment.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.
• A Bachelors degree with relevant experience OR masters degree with Computer Science/Electrical engineering would be ideal.
