Organization DescriptionThe Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm s cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls. The group s number one priority is to enable the business by keeping the firm safe, stable and resilient.High Risk Roles (HRR) are sensitive roles within the technology organization that require high assurance of the integrity of staff by virtue of 1) sensitive cybersecurity and technology functions they perform within systems or 2) information they receive regarding sensitive cybersecurity or technology matters. Users in these roles are subject to enhanced pre-hire screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks (as allowed by law). The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.Job DescriptionThis role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:Deep understanding of Cloud, technologies, platforms and tools, SLA management, incident resolution, and automation.Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplinesHands-on experience in managing operations of large-scale internet-centric production environments for application or infrastructure services serving tens to millions of end-users.Prior experience in large scale internet companies/technologies, where uptime and continuous availability was core to the business.Have a software-centric mindset, look for automation opportunities to drive down toil, and reduce technical debt.Apply standards of cloud compliance to application design to achieve reliabilityUnderstanding of Networking and cloud technologies, for example, Security, Load Balancing, Network routing protocols. Responsibilities:You will have the responsibility of ensuring the reliability, availability and performance of the cloud infrastructure and platform.Diagnose and repair issues using critical knowledge of cloud platform, OS, and application architecture.Automate repeated manual tasks, develop tools and automation to improve the efficiency of the platform and infrastructure.Develop monitoring and dashboards for observability and proactive alerting.Analyze defects, performance, and develop solutions.Author and improve the quality of technical engineering documentationProvides quality control of engineering deliverables.Performs deployment, administration, management, configuration, testing, and integration tasks related to the big data platforms in the cloud environmentHelps to develop new cloud engineering strategies and implementations for the firmChampion a DevOps model so that services are automated and elastic across all platformsParticipates in 24x7 SRE on-call rotations and escalation workflows.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical field5+ years of Enterprise Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) in a mission-critical environmentExperience building and operating Kubernetes clustersAWS/Google/Kubernetes cloud certification is highly desirableIn-Depth OS experience (RHEL, Ubuntu, Windows Server) with strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExperience in programming in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, PowerShell, shell scripting, GOHand-on experience with cloud-based technologies and tools especially in deployment, monitoring, and operations, such as Data Dog, Prometheus, Splunk, Elasticsearch, GrafanaStrong working knowledge of modern development technologies and tools such Agile, CI/CD, Git, Terraform and Jenkins.Deep knowledge of Internet protocols and web services technologies such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/UDP, SOAP, JSON and RESTGood understanding of networking protocols and cybersecurity best practices in cloud environment, Organization DescriptionThe Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm s cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams.
