The servers are part of a highly technical and distributed computing environment used for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Simulations.We are seeking a candidate for the position of a Senior DevOps Engineer in the Bangalore area. The candidate has DevOps experience and desires to work in a large and complex IT environment. You possess a firm grasp on IT services in general and can be considered a subject matter expert in one or more of the following areas: DevOps, EDA application and Linux administration, cloud infra solutions, system analytics, ITIL processes, virtualization, server diagnostics and troubleshooting.Your teamThe R&D IT Hardware Design Environment team (HDE) supports over 8,000 IC designers throughout NXP, with compute, storage, network, and EDA licenses services. These services aim at reduced lead times and improved quality of our IC design projects.Our HDE team supports many key IT services which are utilized by our designers to complete their new product introduction and project objectives. Each of our services, (VDI, HPC, EDA Tools -TR, and EDA Licenses), must function in unison. A deficiency in one service can impact the functionality of the design environment, and ultimately a design team s business deliverables.What will you do as Senior DevOps or Systems Engineer You are expected to work very closely with your global colleagues within R&D IT and help deliver the HDE services to our engineering and R&D customers. You will also be required to provide operational support to our Global based R&D team members. Your APAC team has operational responsibility for all designated services within the region and help provide backup support to our other two regions, (APAC and EMEA), when necessary to ensure good coverage and fast response for any issues requiring attention.Your Profile VMware virtualization and infrastructure automation deployment experience is a requirement for this role. Masters or bachelors engineering degree in computer science/software engineering or relevant 8 Years of experience in infra automation and VMWare IT and Linux infra environment management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and logical skills Strong verbal and written communication Team player believes in collaborations Experience in end-to-end systems automation and orchestration Deep experience in Infra automation like vm deployment , OS deployment / upgrade ,using tools like Ansible Tower, Satelite, Vcenter ,GitLab, ServiceNow Experience and knowledge of use of REST API of various tools for the infra automation Pro in Linux/Unix operating system environment set up and maintenance Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Python, Ansible, Power-shell and Javascript Understanding or have experience with Agile and Lean philosophies Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals,
