At Rakuten India, we are looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer who will maintain and support our production E-commerce systems. You will be an integral part of the India team, which closely collaborates with the teams in Japan and other regions, striving to enhance the automated code deployment, proactive platform monitoring and troubleshooting and root cause analysis, plus capacity planning for our growing business and trading peaks.
Below are the expectations from this role - Required: Highly experienced in handling Linux servers Automation with shell / bash scripting Understanding the monitoring systems - Grafana Dashboard and Prometheus Basic networking and NFS Basic knowledge on database and writing queries Experience handling production applications Experience in handling server / application maintenance Good understanding of Blue-Green Deployment Good experience with WebLogic server or apache web servers or tomcat and clustering Good experience with coherence or in memory database or key value store - Redis / Memcached / consul / etcd Good experience with Oracle Traffic Director (OTD) or load balancers / traffic distributers and DNS Experience working on Exalogic systems
Responsibilities:
Maintain dev, staging and production environments Support during application releases / switch / rollback Support during maintenance Support during application load tests and during sale period Constantly improve Exalogic system (WebLogic / coherence /OTD) based on results from load test and Sale period Automate all manual operations Handling alerts in case of trouble Identify and debug issues with Exalogic servers / OTD / WebLogic servers / coherence Communicate with Oracle support team for issues that cannot be resolved inhouse Support application teams on their daily queries / issues Communicate with 24/7 teams in case of escalations and update runbooks Working with some inhouse tools for Exalogic servers Contribution towards enhancing the inhouse tools - feature development / bug fix is an added advantage Should take ownership of the project
