The role is for a senior software engineer in the Data Visualization team. • Purpose is to ensure the success of the Qlik platform within CIB Banking, which includes multiple, high-priority, strategic reporting and business intelligence (BI) dashboards
• Lead key dashboard projects from a Qlik development perspective, with particular focus on dashboard data model optimization, new dashboard design/development and ongoing improvements to existing dashboards
• Interface directly with stakeholders and provide consultative recommendations to achieve business objectives, while also, directly and independently, building new dashboards leveraging Qlik applications

Responsibilities:

1. Partner with Client Intel Reporting Team Lead and Business analysis team to build out the vision for current and future development
2. Build on your leadership skills to partner with the wider GICB technology team to determine the strategy and execution plan

• Work with the business to analyse and understand business requirements and review/produce architecture that continually drives efficiency and improves Banker/Client engagement
• Guide application development teams to ensure new requirements are contextually understood and implemented as per specification
• Develop good working relationship with stakeholders in multiple regions
• Lead and develop a team of software engineers providing effective coaching and career development
• Engage with and implement the SDLC Quality agenda
• Work on multiple projects across several teams concurrently
• Ability to multi task and manage priorities efficiently, including the ownership of support requests and project delivery concurrently
• Work closely with business and technology groups ( Level 1 + 2 support teams) to troubleshoot, understand and resolve issues
• UAT Co-ordination and Deployment management
• Directly build and support Qlik dashboards to deliver information and data in ways that help drive the business and create efficiencies
• Query, analyze and transform complex data sets to optimize dashboard flexibility and performance
• Interface with business managers and technology teams to design, develop, deploy and enhance Qlik dashboards
• Ensure all Qlik development is in line with best practices, principals and standards defined by Banking Analytics team and complies with the spirit of the firm s overall data control standards
• Provide thought leadership and promote collaboration to advance team s collective knowledge and expertise on latest technologies and techniques, while also driving current projects to successful completion
• Advanced skills optimizing Qlik data models and directly developing Qlik dashboards. Qlik-specific skills must include:

1. Load script development experience: Ability to load data from multiple source
2. Experience using scripts to transform data for various dashboard requirements
3. Advanced knowledge using set analysis & variables
4. Experience developing QlikView user interfaces: Creating charts, filter boxes, list boxes, text objects, etc. Ability to apply and customize formatting using style sheets
5. Familiarity with section access
6. Extensive data modeling experience

• Additional experience developing dashboards using either Qlik Sense or Tableau.

Preferred:

• QlikView: QV server administration experience and familiarity with QV management console
• Qlik Sense/Tableau: Experience optimizing data architecture and data libraries for specific use in Qlik Sense or Tableau
• Qlik NPrinting: Ability to build new reporting solutions leveraging NPrinting application
• Prior experience devising and instituting predictive analytical frameworks
• Ability to update and write SQL code required to extract data from source systems
• Previous experience with additional BI tools (Cognos/Business Objects)

Other Qualifications:

• Prior experience interpreting and analyzing complex data sets, and providing actionable recommendations. Strong financial analysis or statistical background is preferred
• Must be flexible and comfortable with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Able to manage multiple, high-priority deliverables simultaneously
• Superior written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable speaking, presenting, and answering questions during large meetings and conference calls
• Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and project management skills
• 4-7 years professional work experience, with 3-4 years in a highly analytical function (601)
• 5 9 years professional work experience, with 4 6 years in a highly analytical function (602)
