Job Description

IntroductionA DC Specialist who is a Technical Data Center SME, with knowledge of the Facilities at the DC (Cooling System, Electrical systems like - DG, UPS, Battery, Transformers, Distribution Panel etc.) and has knowledge of Raised Floor Management covering Passive Cabling and overall Electrical & other fit outs at the DC.A Management focal who has knowledge of Cost Management, Project management skills and overall Customer relations to ensure smooth running of the DC.Come join our team of IBM experts, who are leaders with vision, distinguished engineers and IT architects who have worked with thousands of clients to transform enterprise IT, migrate to cloud, apply automation and ensure business continuity.   • Responsible for Data Center Management (End to End) of IBM DCs/Partner DCs assigned to the Manager - Managing the 24*7 DC Operations team at the DCs.
  • Manage day to day operation management ,SLA management ,Escalation handling .
  • Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance of air conditioning, elevator and power systems such as UPS, DG sets etc.
  • Documentation of the DCs and MIS Reporting of DC related
  • Ensure air quality and temperature control in permissible range at the facility
  • Ensure proper functioning of Building Maintenance Systems and Physical Security Systems
  • Ensuring periodic maintenance of systems, Space management at the facility
  • Carry out drills for emergency events like fire, earthquake. Ensure proper functioning of fire detection systems, sprinklers, fire extinguisher etc.
  • Extend support to Project Managers/DPEs across the country and Supporting customer/Prospective customer visits to the DC
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in Electrical side, covering data center management and at least 2 years experience in Data Centre operation and maintenance
  • More than 8 years experience with at least 4 years experience in Data Centre operation and maintenance in case of diploma holders
  • Expertise in working Data Centre environment with knowledge of the Facilities (Cooling System, Electrical systems like - DG, UPS, Battery, Transformers, Distribution Panel etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Raised Floor Management covering Passive Cabling and overall Electrical & other fit-outs at the DC.
  • Strong exposure of cost management, project management skills and overall Customer relations to ensure smooth running of the data center.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • B. Tech/ BE/ Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics engineering from premier.
  • To ensure that all the data pertaining to the company and its clients is safeguarded against unauthorized or illegal use by implementing various methodologies against those who violate the security rules and regulations
  • To maintain the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the information and to maintain its authenticity, control and utility of the relevant data
  • To support all the necessary procedures related to security approval, accreditation, certification, etc.
  • To implement a realistic approach during the certification schedule and process
  • To keep a track of the resolution of vulnerabilities that have been identified on the system and to develop,
