We empower the original mobile device: YOU!What were looking for:You as part of the Global Labs and Infrastructure Services team, enables R&D to be effective and productive; by dealing with the challenges set by the highly skilled engineering teams within Citrix as a Local resource for datacenter/lab operations. You will be responsible for managing and architecting overall standards and the implementation of the compute, storage and domain services (Active Directory, DNS, Messaging, collaboration).Position OverviewResponsible for managing and architecting overall standards and the implementation of the compute, storage and domain services (Active Directory, DNS, Messaging, collaboration). Coordinates, prioritizes, and builds solutions to ensure the stability of the computing environment for current and future growth. Partners with various business units and technology staff members to ensure IT platforms are built and operated to meet customer needs which includes management of design services, sizing and configuration assistance, and performing needs assessments. Ensures that all phases of support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues, are properly configured, monitored, tracked, and resolved.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, and lead improvement projects on Windows and Linux infrastructure.
  • Planning upgrades, implementing configuration changes, extending and replacing engineering IT systems.
  • Work with the Leads/Managers planning upgrades, implementing configuration changes, extending and replacing engineering IT systems.
  • Work with corporate IT, and Engineering Lab Technicians, to manage the local area network and resolve issues
  • Support stakeholders and partners
  • Implement, maintain, upgrade, extend, monitor and manage local engineering IT services including (not limited to) infrastructure, file, application, and backup servers.
  • Keep critical local engineering IT systems available to an agreed schedule, may involve limited weekend or out of hours work.
  • Deploy and maintain lab equipment with expected wiring/deployment standards.
  • Implement and administer lab management facilities including remote access and power control.
  • Coordinate the use of shared resources including lab space and power.
  • Adhere to and promote DC standards, change control and roles/responsibilities.
Basic Qualification:
  • At least 3 years of work experience in data center
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • A broad, up to date, knowledge of general IT technologies.
  • Basic system administration skills including OOB access, patching and logical changes.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet local area networking including VLANs and IP routing.
  • Carry a cell phone, respond to after-hours datacenter problems.
  • Take pride, ownership and accountability for your work.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, ever evolving and challenging environment.
  • Self-motivated individual that can handle multiple projects at any given time.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
Desirable skills
  • Linux system admin including NIS, DNS, DHCP, PXE, Apache, CUPS, SSH and Exim.
  • Experience with Windows and several Linux distros (Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat, etc).
  • Experience with DCIM & monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of Cisco UCS and its capabilities.
  • Experience with Cisco and other network devices.
  • Fundamental understanding of firewalls (Fortinet Preferable).
  • Understanding of power, cooling & remote management found in datacenters.
  • Awareness of datacenters security standards.
  • Experience of using Network filers (NetApp, EqualLogic; iSCSI and NFS).
  • Experience of running an engineering/test lab.
  • Knowledge of server virtualization.
  • Windows system administration including PowerShell and Active Directory.
  • Network analysis tools (wireshark, tcpdump, nmap, etc).
  • Experience with upgrading server hardware (memory, NICs, HDs etc.).
  • Python/PHP/SQL development/administration.
