Job Description

  • You must have exemplary written and verbal communication skills in English, and enjoy creating delightful, engaging and witty content.
  • To be successful in the role, you must have in-depth knowledge on Indian popular content and their sources in Bollywood, music, social trends, politics, science and technology, fashion, lifestyle, and books. Most importantly, you should be familiar with how to build both good content and good product.
  • Experience of working with news content partners from news agencies to mainstream outlets will be an added advantage.
  • You must also be data-driven, great at managing schedules and have experience tracking and using it to make content decisions. If you have worked on news products either online or offline managing complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams, it s an advantage.
  • This role will require you to create and implement mechanisms to ensure that the content is of the highest standard. You will need to be quick to react to -- and obsessed with news: having a story up accurately, and on time.
  • You must also have a strong understanding of your audience and their needs, and be able to think user-backwards.
  • Additionally, you must be able to juggle multiple projects and priorities with high attention to detail.
  • You will work cross-functionally with product managers, data analysts, voice and graphic user interface designers, marketing managers, and software development teams.
,BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor s/Master s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years creating customer-facing content, such as news reports, feature articles, listicles
  • Portfolio of content that includes humorous, creative content
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English for Indian audience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years experience in creating customer-facing content
  • Strong creative and conceptual thinker
  • Professional experience writing news headlines or marketing copy
  • Proficient using CMS tools and other content creation and management tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work across multiple teams
  • Commitment to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge
  • Background in digital content creation in above defined areas for web, mobile applications and FM radio.
  • Personal initiative, flexibility, intellectual curiosity
