Job Description

The WKO Data Management as a Service Team is looking for an Associate level candidate who will be part of a high performing team of project management professionals focused on delivering innovative data management solutions to WKO & firm-wide stakeholders across LOB s & corporate functions. The Strategic Program Platform Controls Lead is focused on ensuring that data sourced, is fit-for-purpose, stored & managed securely & has all the appropriate approvals & controls for its use. The Lead is also responsible for ensuring robust exception management capabilities are engineered into the platform, safeguarding regular SLA s for delivery of all consumer use cases, up to & including multiple jurisdictional Regulators.Key Responsibilities would include:

• Collaborate with Consumers to define new Use Cases for leveraging the data owned by the group; preparing, leading & concluding all Data Use & Data Privacy approvals through the relevant cross LOB forums
• Defining, designing & collaborating with Consumers, Operations & Technology to implement Data Privacy entitlements
• Scope, design & build monitoring routines to identify & report exceptions on the Client Analytics Platform; coordinate the hand over to the WKO Analytics & LOB Operations teams where required
• Collaborate with LOBs, Consumers, and Technology to perform root cause analysis and develop the strategic remediation path for exceptions with data being sourced into and consumed from the Client Analytics Platform
• Quickly assimilate data to help generate summary/detailed level diagnosis, including understanding the end to end process and controls
• Coordinate with LOB Business Leads, Reference Data Domain Leads and Functional Domain SME s to understand data capabilities, current state solutions and assess the ability to deliver strategic solutions
• Act as a subject matter expert on the WKO data environment; assisting various teams with ad-hoc requests & advising on appropriate use of data, as well as the controls required to protect it
• Document processes and procedures for Data Use & Data Privacy review & approval, applying institutional knowledge from the KYC Operations and Reference Data industry
• Define appropriate metrics for periodic publication to demonstrate a robust control environment, highlighting areas that require further attention
• Provide regular status updates to management; develop presentations and materials
• Compile executive summary documents for data use, controls, entitlements & exception management

• A bachelor s degree or equivalent is required; Qualification in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management or a related field
• 5-7 years experience in a Data and/or Controls Role. Business Analysis experience required, with particular focus in the Data Analytics / Data Management space highly preferred
• Highly energetic self-starter with a focus on obtaining results
• Strong analytical / critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to develop and clearly present drawn conclusions & potential solutions with consideration to inherent risks
• Structuring and scoping complex problems, applying a range of analytical tools, gaining and synthesizing insights and developing solutions
• Strong Communication skills both verbal & written, with proven ability to communicate effectively at many levels of the organization, including synthesizing key messages for senior management
• Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and quickly adjust to changing priorities
• Capability to work both independently with strong follow through and adapt to team environment
• Aptitude to think outside the box and balance strategic objectives with the need to make interim tactical choices in order to sustain progress
• Experience of Data Use & Data Privacy governance desired
• Subject Matter Expertise across KYC, AML & Client Reference Data is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office suite of products (Excel, VISIO, PowerPoint)
