Manager, Ecosystems Specialist for Tea based in BangaloreUnilever is setting up a separate entity for its Tea business to ensure it can best achieve its potential. Its tea brands, estates and all geographies (other than India and Indonesia) will be part of the standalone entity - Tea Company.With generated revenues of 2 billion in 2019, Tea company is growing and profitable with proven potential both pre- and post-COVID-19. Tea company will be the largest Tea entity in the world and is even better positioned to lead the industry and take full advantage of the opportunities in the category, with more focus and entrepreneurship driving greater growth and value.The vision for the Tea company is to champion a tastier, healthier, more sustainable world of plant-based drinking. Purposeful thinking will be the core anchor of our business, our brands and culture, enabling simple and agile decision making, an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for our consumers.Within our R&D team we are now seeking an Ecosystems Specialist to help build an exciting new network of Science, Technology and Innovation partners with whom we can jointly extend our shared agenda in plant based drinking. Our goal is to create massive leverage through such partnerships. We want to work with the best academic and commercial partners, with startups and established businesses, NGO s and influencers to achieve our R&D goals.Main Accountabilities and key tasksResponsibilities and key tasks specific to the role:

• Ecosystems specialist
  • Together with Line Manager, work with cluster teams to support development of regional and global ecosystem partner networks to underpin their R&D programme
  • Work with site team to strengthen further the local ecosystem in Bangalore inline with business needs.
  • Leverage subsidy/grants landscape in India; and in other locations as directed by Line Manager
• Partnering specialist
  • Support project teams in developing R&D partnerships and contracts through hands on and training
  • Support project teams in working with global network of scouting partners, Universities, NGOs, service providers in delivering R&D services and technologies.
• Systems expert
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of setting up and managing R&D agreements with 3rd parties that drives speed and best practice in partnering.
  • Ensure the IT system supporting the above is fit for purpose and that R&D teams are fully trained/supported on using this system.
  • Develop tools for monitoring and tracking patents/designs and R&D contracts and ensure timely reporting.
