RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Role overviewThe Fundamental Equity team is effectively the public face of GSAM s equity business and is primarily responsible for client investment management, engagement and communication. It supports ongoing marketing initiatives, standard client reporting, new product development, business strategy and planning.The Request for Proposal (RFP) specialist role within the Fundamental Equity team entails completion of business questionnaires for new and existing clients. They will work in coordination with the Centralized RFP team, the Portfolio Management team and various Sales channels to communicate information regarding product offerings, investment philosophy, process and other related information to the clients. The RFP specialist also works closely with other areas of the firm, including client services, product development, legal and compliance.The team member is expected to stay fully engaged with the ongoing developments of the business in order to commercially and effectively communicate it to the clients. He/She should be familiar with global financial markets, have broad-based understanding of the asset management business and at the same time possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Principal Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete high quality RFPs and DDQs from prospective clients, consultants, and existing clients in a timely and accurate manner
• Develop strong understanding of our products, underlying business, knowledge of industry and investment team s capabilities to facilitate improved client experience
• Develop working relationships with sales professionals, client portfolio managers, compliance and other groups.
• Assist in developing metrics to track key sales figures including RFP flows, hit rates, etc

Experience/Skill

• Bachelor s/ Master s Degree (Preferred: Master s degree of Finance, Economics, Business or Commerce)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines, personalities, and broad based coverage
• Strong interest in the financial markets and good investment sense/commercial instinct
• Data analysis skills, finance and statistics knowledge
• Detail orientation, organizational skills, initiative, motivation and a strong work ethic
• Integrity and the ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
