Job Description

Essential Job Functions

• Using data analytics, works with business unit leaders in identifying potential operational improvements for current and new business. Analyzes and develops solutions that promote the implementation of and/or modification of business processes.
• Uses analytics technology to make use of large unstructured data sets and complex algorithms. Uses machine learning and predictive modeling tools to discover, create and analyze high-volume and high-dimensionality data of business value to the business unit and company. Provides interpretative results to the business to identify value.
• Uses analytic techniques such as cluster analysis and association rules to identify potential business opportunities and opportunities for business process improvements.
• Participates in the collaboration efforts with internal stakeholders and team members to identify tools and services such as modeling, dashboard development, decision aids and business case analysis to drive innovation, strategic initiatives and recommend solutions.
• Remains current with industry trends and techniques and best in class data mining tools.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelors degree in machine learning, applied mathematics, computer science or related field preferred
• Nine or more years experience in data analytics and/or modeling
• Masters degree preferred
• Experience with relational databases such as NoSQL and/or other key/value pair data stores; preferably in an environment that processes hundreds, thousands or millions of records a day
• Experience applying research driven machine learning techniques in a software development environment
• Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches and scientific methods
• Experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varied sources using big data integration and analysis tools such as R, Matlab, SAS
• Experience with data cleansing, validation and general quality control principles

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Design and automate experiments to verify the performance of algorithms.
• Analyzing, visualizing and communicating insights from our data.
• Maintaining a process to collect quality training data.
• Validation of Machine Learning Models.
• Explore and develop new solutions as part of the Innovation team
• Demonstrated high level of proficiency in object oriented languages, e.g. R, Python, and Java in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to work with Jupyter Notebook.
• Experience with AWS Cloud platforms related to data analytics (AWS Sagemaker etc.)
• Ability to work with database concepts/structures and ability to write SQL queries (Redshift, RDS Postgres etc.)
• Comfortable with scripting languages e.g. bash
• Assist in troubleshooting model drift and diagnostics.
• Ability to quickly learn the essentials of a new operational team (e.g., a specific account within DXC s delivery organization) and understand the nuances of tools, processes, data and business requirements that impact actions required to add value for the client and DXC

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to rapidly learn and develop new skills, largely on one s own by staying in tune with the market and emerging technologies and techniques
• Ability to work closely with others in a fast-paced and collaborative technical setting
• Ability to refactor and modularize codebases
• Experience working with DevOps Methodology (Scrum, Jira, Github, Jenkins)
• Understanding of selected real time transactional applications is a plus
