Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts department Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Responsible for Maintenance of Books of accounts in line with accepted Accounting Practices, Companies Act and Accounting Standards. Responsible for quarterly closing of Books of Accounts under statutory framework. Responsible for closing Accounts (P L and Balance Sheet with Schedules) on a monthly basis. Maintenance of Internal Checks and Controls relating to Disbursements and Accounting Custodianship for Companys assets- Accounting for fixed assets and Closing stock and physical inventory thereof. Ensuring Invoice Verifications / Approval and Payments as per contractual terms Compliances with regard to Statutory payments Controlling and Monitoring Expenses with given benchmarks Ensure necessary reconciliations of Bank Accounts and various accounts including Company vendor accounts. Responsible for getting the Statutory Audit and tax audit done at year end as well as quarter ends from audit perspective. Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements. Preparation and filing of VAT, TDS, Profession tax Service Tax Returns, corporate reporting requirements and representation before tax department with respect to VAT, Income tax and Service Tax. Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Coordinate with the company secretary of the company to ensure all statutory compliance with respect to Companies Act and secretarial practice are met within prescribed statutory timeline. General awareness of all Accounting / Finance laws. Manage and develop direct reporting staff Pre- requisites/ Skills Personal skills: Written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, able to work independently and in a team, ability to meet assigned deadlines, 10+ years accounting/ finance experience, bachelors or higher degree in Accounting or Finance/ qualification CA/ ICWA Final preferred.,
