Basic Information on the roleRole TitleTerritory Sales Manager - AgencyDepartmentAgencyFunctionTerritory-AgencyVerticalTerritory-AgencyLocationReporting Manager RoleArea Sales Manager - AgencyPurpose of the JobBroad objectiveof the roleDrive the business through agency channel to ensure the achievement of desired growth& higher penetration at the territory levelKey Responsibilities- Understand the key priorities and plans for agency channel to devise strategies and cascade targets across the territory- Monitor the market dynamics, competitor actions to incorporate learnings and insights during planning activities- Drive initiatives and strategies to achieve top line and bottom line, while maintaining profitability & loss ratios for the channel- Ensure alignment and execution of regional plans in terms of growth, activation, penetration, product mix and profitability for the area- Monitor gaps in budget achievement and take corrective measures to bridge the gaps through designing various schemes- Execute activities to drive recruitment, activation anddevelopment of agents to manage Agency sales for the circle- Design various local level campaigns, Health camps, worksites, product trainings for agents and broking houses and ensure its execution across the circle- Regularly interact with Channel partners to build and maintain strong relationships- Assess and consider all kinds of risk to make informed decisions-- Initiate tie ups with strategic customers, fleet owners toensure new customer acquisition through channel partners- Onboard OEMs / Dealers and Brokers in a timely manner to ensure presence in focus segments / geographies- Define customer retention strategies to maximize policyrenewals- Provide inputs for the manpower planning exercise forthe circle and branch teams to ensure maximization of productivity- Define team goals, allocate responsibilities and conduct performance appraisals against set targets for teammembers- Identify areas of strength and development for senior team members, coach and mentor on an ongoing basis for capability building and recommend careermovements for growth- Develop succession plans for managing talent pipeline for critical roles in the function-

Education QualificationsGraduate in any stream,Core experience4-5 years of work experience in insurance sales with 5 years in agency salesPreferable Knowledge/ExperienceLicentiate, Associate in Insurance
